    [Update: 1/2023]
I've now owned this treadmill for around 1.5 years. It's been a good purchase but looks like it is coming to the end of it's life. If you read my original review you'll note that by two months in I was already concerned about the oil light being on constantly - and I was right to be concerned.

Perhaps 4 months ago it began occasionally smelling like burnt rubber despite my regular application of significant amounts of oil. This smell became more frequent, so I can now run it for short periods of time but it quickly begins smelling burnt, so I turn it off frequently.

This past week I think I found the problem. When flipping it up on it's side I noticed that the vents were clogged with pet hair. I removed all the pet hair but it's too late. Part of the plastic shell has melted and I believe this is what is causing the friction with the belt and the subsequent burning rubber smell.

I think the pet hair had two effects on the treadmill: (1) it increased heat within the system because it couldn't be disbursed through the vents and (2) it absorbed some of the oil as it went through the unit.

So I'll be looking for a new unit soon. If it wasn't for the pet hair my guess is it would have lasted another year or two at least.

    [Original Review]
I bought this treadmill well over 2 months ago and have used it almost daily, oftentimes for 4-6 hours per day. It works well and overall I have been pleased with the treadmill. I do have some concerns about longevity. Primarily because the oil light came on and no matter how much oil I supply it with the light doesn't turn off.

It's also worth noting that I used a table chair with four legs on top of the treadmill for a while when I needed to sit rather than moving the treadmill. This seemed fine for a while, the feet rested on the sides not the track but eventually the left side cracked (as can be seen in the attached photo). I'm sure this is outside the intended use / not the safest so not recommending it to others, but wanted to mention in case anyone else is doing it.

I don't regret the purchase and am happy with the product. That said, let me note a few other "weaknesses" I hope will be fixed in a future iteration:

    1. The treadmill suddenly stops after 90 minutes. This can be quite unexpected, especially the first few times, and could throw someone off their footing. I am unsure why it stops after 90 minutes.
    - Doing away with the 90 minute power off would be ideal.
    - If it must remain, then having it offer some warning before it does so and transitioning slowly from the current speed to stopped would be ideal.
    2. Having to add oil in two different locations (where there is a small opening for it and under the belt) is not ideal. It would be better if the opening could supply oil to both locations.
    3. If using with a desk it can be a bit of a pain to turn off/on. This is because the remote needs to be pointed fairly directly at the top of the treadmill or the signal is not received. In my case this means sticking the remote under the desk and pressing the controls a few times till the desired action occurs.
    4. It would be ideal if it offered a smartphone app in addition to the remote control. I've almost lost the remote control a few times and it is one more cluttering device.
    - This would also be ideal because right now the treadmill itself only offers single session tracking. Ideally, tracking should be kept across time so one can see distance traveled, speed, calories burned, etc.
    - Ideally there would be an integration with Google Fit, Apple Health, Fitbit, etc. so that the information could be synced with these and other applications. Personally, I use Fitbit but the Fitbit is worn on the wrist and doesn't capture most exercise performed while working at a desk.

I looked at a number of different models available before selecting this one. I looked for a high review score with a decent number of reviews, speed range (slowest to fastest and how fast it allows without the bar up [e.g. for under desk use]), weight, and features. I'm still happy with this purchase...will update if that changes. :)
