It was fun, I like taking my time enjoying the process. It was great going through bag after bag building up components to make something cool. (I'm not a huge fan of the axe, and didn't see the point of the energon cube, so they are sitting in a bag with other Lego blocks ready to be made into something new)
There are a couple things that could be improved, but overall, i love it.
Really fun and cool overall
looks just like the one he had as a kid
It's a bit over priced when you look at the parts count, but it was still a worth it gift imo, especially since I got it on sale.
I takes some hours to assemble it but it's worth it.
Worth the price, effort and the satisfaction of completing 90% ( will finish the rest later)product! Awesome (almost) design and the non parts forming aspect of the play pattern.....on a LEGO! I can't believe they , Lego managed to pull this off. The last time I went on a kit this smooth and suave, it was the PG RX-78-2 Unleashed!
It's like a challenge once you accomplished parts A going to part Z, it drives you on and on! This is Optimus Prime! Albeit with all the knobs that Lego minimized without actually forsaking their trademark look.
Be prepared to be challenged though, not meant for a Sith and faint of heart as some steps are easy to lose track of especially the left fist finger. Was there a running change to the mold? I'm raising this because I almost had a cardiac as per the instructions, his fingers are supposed to be fully assembled but the manual failed to indicate one is supposed to be assembled giving it a trigger finger shape. I thought I lost a part after near finishing the figure! argh!
Well I did finish the main figure, and boy, was it a doozy!
He transforms and is quite poseable, too bad about his knees not bending though I've seen some modifications (3rd party) that actually dealt with this (I wonder why it was not officially implemented?), but then, life ain't perfect! Lol!
I highly recommend getting this for the child once upon a time within you (now on to his ion blaster, energon ax and cube).
Once assembled it seems like it would be very difficult to accidentally break pieces off through regular use unless you drop it so it's safe to use as a high quality display piece without a lot of upkeep.
Son muchas piezas pero las instrucciones son bastante claras (por eso mi 5 en fácil de armar)
Lo recomiendo
