Instructions are great
Huge Size: This pool is massive! Plenty of room for the whole family to swim and play, and even enough space for some serious laps. The 20ft diameter is perfect for our needs.
Sturdy Construction: The Prism Frame is incredibly strong and durable. The metal frame is robust and the liner feels thick and well-made. We've had it up for a couple of seasons now, and it's held up beautifully.
Easy Setup (for a pool this size): While it's a big pool, the setup was surprisingly manageable. It definitely takes a few people and some time, but the instructions were clear, and we were able to get it assembled without too much trouble.
Complete Set: We opted for the set, and it came with everything we needed – the pump, ladder, ground cloth, and pool cover. It was great to have everything included and not have to purchase things separately.
Great Value: For the size and quality, this Intex pool is an excellent value. It's provided countless hours of fun for our family and friends, and it's definitely worth the investment.
Overall, we are thrilled with our Intex Prism Frame pool. It's a great size, well-made, and relatively easy to set up. It's brought so much joy to our backyard and is the perfect way to beat the summer heat. Highly recommended!
The pool is a good size for a couple of adults to float around in or for 4-5 children. It fit perfect on a 10x10ft patio and came with a cover. The pump is a different issue and is undersized for the pool. We were having to run if 4-6 hours a day and change the filters about every other day because they are so small. I highly recommend up grading to the 1000 GPH pump. You will only need to run it about 2 hours a day and change the filters about once a week.
We removed the grass, leveled out the ground, added 1 layer of weed barrier, 1 layer of tarp. Created small holes in the trap for drainage. Added a 1-1/2 inch foam and a layer of a black pool pad on top of the foam. It might sound like over kill but the pool floor feels amazing with 4 layers of protection under the pool. We then added shells and stepping stones around the back side of the pool to reach the pump.
Once the ground was prepped, the pool took less then 30 mins to setup and about 5 hours to fill the 10'x30" with water. I also tied rhe chlorine duck by the filter water that is reentering the pool to make sure the chlorine is evenly spreading throughout the pool. So far it's been working great.
Overall, the pool is well made and the kids and adults love it.
Tomorrow will be true test, once the kids hop in. I will update after we have used it for a bit.
It’s sturdy. The vinyl seems thick enough.
I am careful with this pool. I want it to last all summer long. I live in Southern California.
This one is better really all the way around except we need steps to get in and out. My husband is tall enough to step in without step stools or ladder though so check your inseam or plan to get yourself something like pool steps/ladder.
I do agree with some reviews that a little larger pump would be nicer, but the one it came with works okay so far as long as I keep up on cleaning the filter and make sure to keep the proper chemical levels.
I love that it also has the automatic timer for the filter so I don't have to watch the clock.
I did purchase a pond liner to set it on rather than directly on the patio.
There is a little slope to our patio, more than I would like for the pool, but it still works. I just adjust the supports if needed as the kids play.
I did have to add several things to get it set up to my liking. I added a valve to cut the water to the pump to make filter changes easier. And I purchased a chlorine generator system (Intex QS400) to make the pool salt water instead of needing to check and daily add chlorine tablets. The generator was as much as the pool , but totally worth it to lower the maintenance. I also used the pump I had from the previous pool, it’s a step up from the one supplied, and I already had extra replacement filters. It’s been great so far.
Also I added a ladder I purchased from Walmart 36” for around $50.

At first, I was very skeptical about whether to purchase this pool because of the reviews. I have seen some bad reviews on it.. yet some good ones. The day it got delivered was today. As you can see in the photo I provided it was in okay condition, but everything inside was still intact and safe, with no damage. I have seen lots of bad reviews on how there were holes, I did not see any holes, but it was completely fine.
Pricing and what came included: I would say it was worth the price for this big size of a pool plus with what it came with. I got the 15x42. It can fit about 8 or more people.. you can even throw a little pool party if you want too. This pool came with a few necessities, a ladder, filter pump, ground tarp, and pool cover.
Set Up and its Process: It took about 2 1/2 hours. It took about 3 people to help. Me + my 2 sisters. We started around 12:30pm, finished around 2 pm, and started filling up the pool around 2:30. As I'm writing this review it is almost somewhat filled. I added another photo there and it was around 8 pm. The process overall was very easy, it was just a lot to do since the pool is pretty big. So far no leaks are happening.
Filter Pump + other problems people had with this product: We have not tried the filter pump yet but I have seen so many bad reviews about it. But overall we have had no problems with the pool. I will probably update on how the pool is a month later + add an update on the pump!
It is worth the buy! 😊
Update 7/22/24: The pool is awesome and the pump works perfectly fine, at times it did stop working but I fixed it right away and it was back to normal. Unfortunately, there was a leak but due to something my parents moved and accidentally leaned it against the pool and ripped a bit but we were able to fix it with flex tape.
The pool is very sturdy, which is reassuring. However, this specific size I guess does not come with a cover, which was a bit disappointing. I bought a skimmer separately to keep the pool clean, but I noticed the pump isn't very strong. I might need to replace it soon for more efficient filtration.
So far, we've had no significant issues with the pool. It’s holding up well, but only time will tell how durable it will be in the long run. Overall, it’s a great buy for the price and perfect for family fun during the summer!
Pump a little difficult but not terrible.
Over all Dope!
Bought the 10ft x 30in pool for the kiddos and it will easily allow my 5 young kids to have a great time.
About to fill it and will update on sturdiness.
Would have paid extra if it included: pool cover, ladder, and cleaning tools. #justsayin’
But if you’re going to get this pool you might as well slap those things on your list.
It was gray and had too many instructions exposed for my taste so I gave the kiddos the run down and spruced it up a bit. I would have paid extra for a different backdrop. #stilljustsayin’
Putting it together was a struggle at first, but I didn’t let it warm in the sun. So be sure you do that step first!! Also the last joint, slant the joint and the pole up then push both pieces towards the inside and bam!
We had the C1000 intex pump from last year that I used instead of the one it came with. It has done its job so far!!
I am pleased ,so far, and this is a definite upgrade from the sam’s club 10ft inflatable pool we had last year.
P.S. this is making my teen girls very happy!
Make sure you buy the sand filter and skimmer !!
-First, make sure you know this pools depth. It's very shallow! I like to sit in it and read a book!
-Our 7yo is autistic and they tend to obsessed with water. If he manages to sneak out to swim, it's easy for him to just stand up. He has also been told that he must wear a vest to swim, so double the safety!
- it's easier to warm a shallow pool. We live in Central NY. If it's a sunny day, the pool is usually between 70° and 75°. If it's super hot outside, the water can get over 80°!
-this pool was very easy to set up! My husband and I put it together in half an hour. The hardest part is getting it level. We had a pool here a few years ago, so that part was fairly easy for us.
I bought this pool in early June. I think I forgot to prime the pump and it stopped working. It was too late to use the 30 day warranty, so I reached out to them directly. They were amazing! Got a replacement pump within a week
Highly recommend!
The pool was easy to put together (having an extra body to help is definitely a plus), and the complete set-up was quick. We have hit a little snag where the chemicals are concerned, but using testing strips makes it less complicated and we're hoping to be swimming by tomorrow.. making this a 2 day process from opening the box to splashing in the refreshing and cool water!!
4/2020 1st purchase - This was definitely a project only because of the leveling and grass that grew through the base and tarp. After getting through that hump it has been a great pool for our needs of wanting a wading pool. Adults can sit or float just fine and kids play with water toys but I’m cautious with rough play because I refuse to reconstruct after 2 rounds lol. Super easy to construct, leveling is the back breaker. Use extra thick matting or double up to avoid my experience! Also contact your water company to report gallons filled so you’re not charged in waste water. I had 2 fills of 1700 each and my city just increased billing last year so it helped.
That said, be sure to stock up on the replacement cartridges to swap out every 2 weeks or so. We got the matching pool cover, I recommend that too to help keep out debris. Definitely make sure you have enough level ground. Ours is off maybe 1-2" and its not bad but I can see how it could be a problem if it was more. We put a tarp underneath.. to protect the pool from our stone patio. So far so good. We also got a basic net to keep out debris, a pool test kit to check levels are safe, and the chlorine tablets in one of those floaters.... so far its all worth it. We've had it up for about a month now our 3 little girls love it (8, 6, 5). And so do I. Adults... yes get a blow up raft/lounger and relax by yourself when the kids leave! I highly recommend! Especially for families spending more time at home these days.
That said, I've learned a trick that works pretty well to both extend the life of the filters and make the skimmer somewhat effective. If you cap one of the two pump outlets and attach a skimmer to the other, stretch a skimmer sock (available on Amazon) over the floating blue skimmer insert, then hang it at an angle so that most of the sock is underwater, it does a pretty good job of collecting surface debris. This has also made my pump filters last much longer (it's been more than 2 weeks since I added the skimmer/sock setup and haven't had to even rinse the filter yet). You do have to rinse the skimmer sock off every day or so (I just lift it out and hose it off), but that's way easier than cleaning the filters.
Also, I've dealt with a nasty algae bloom after the chlorine levels fell too far while we were out of town and it's a pain to recover from (you can see some remaining in my picture), so don't slack on your chlorine tablets/tests! I find that keeping a couple 1" tablets in the floater (sold separately) at all times is about right, but your mileage may vary so I definitely recommend getting a chlorine/ph test kit. It's way easier to prevent than remove algae, though if you do end up in this situation, adding a cup or two of bleach every day until the algae clears seems to work as a poor-man's "shock" (just be sure to wait to swim until the chlorine levels fall back into a safe range). Or, drain it, scrub it out good, and start over, though obviously you don't want to do this too often.
So the pool is great. 30" deep, perfect for just sitting. I had a small camping table I put next to it. I got an HB Illumination speaker to pair to my phone. It's meant to float but the sound sucks when it's in the water. I added the Coleman 15x13 screened tent canopy a few days later. It fits perfectly. Enough room to cover the camping table and pump as well as enclose the little step stool ladder I have. The Coleman tent is easy to assemble - but MAKE SURE THE POLES ARE ON THE OUTSIDE! I read that review earlier and brain dumped it. Then I was cursing the existence of humanity when I got to the last pole and couldn't get it to snap into place. Yea - poles on the outside, poles on the outside...poles on the outside. It has two zipper entrances and like I said - it covers the pool perfectly. Keeps the bugs out. Get a camping LED light/lantern that emits the yellow/bug blind light and you're set to spend your warm summer evenings sitting in a pool, listening to crickets and frogs (or in my city case - traffic), and just relax the stress away.
So unless I modify this review - I strongly suggest anyone considering this pool or the Coleman screen tent to buy. Good purchases.
