My wife has gotten a lot of enjoyment out of discovering complicated Lego sets after missing out on them in childhood. The more complicated the better usually.
If you are a LEGO builder, this will provide a good challenge and have satisfaction after building. This is definitely a great collector's piece. I recommend it if you are willing to pay for it.
Some people like to keep the box. It wouldn’t have been hard to find a box to fit the Lego box so there’s less damage to the box. Try a little harder.
I am, once again, blown away by LEGO engineering. I have always loved how strong and durable LEGO sets are but…man, this thing is a TANK!
An absolute joy to build. I would have gladly paid full price for this.
The directions were detailed and he didn’t have any issues. He’s 12.
Very happy!!
When completed it is visually impressive and looks like a tree house. The building techniques used make it a good change of pace from other Lego sets.
She stayed awake for 2 days to work through it. She finished it in 5 days.
There were a few missing pieces but nothing structural.
She is so happy
This seller made everything so easy and smooth. It was here in time for the holiday and I did not have to pay extra for shipping. Thankful
Ps, add fairy lights to the tree!
It's that satisfying and heartwarming feeling when you build every module in isolation and then mount it to the whole construction.
Love it.
[Update on December 10, 2020]: I've finally assembled that. It took a while (about a month) of assembly but every single step lets you feel the approaching joy of accomplishment.
The only issue that I faced was the tree leaves.
Your fingers might be in pain after attaching leaves one onto another using a tiny green pin.
In seriousness, this is one of the best large scale modern lego sets, alongside its Ideas line (fan submission based) brethren the Old Fishing Store, Barracuda Bay, the Creator Expert line modular buildings, and Ninjago City
Retires at the end of 2020 so get it while it's in production and $200
She absolutely loves it!
She spent several days working on it and was excited at all of the details that Lego included. It's even a seasonal item. There are green and brown leaves for spring summer and fall.
Love it and highly recommend it.
P.S. - My son did love it! Was impressed with the detail of this kit, all the little bits and additions made him quite happy. He was not daunted at all by the sheer number of pieces! Looks like he'll be having a few hours of fun. Or more!! Lol.
