Compra ya!!!!
I found this one to be really rewarding and fun to build.
Gute Geschenkidee
It looks beautiful when finished, if only they had included a samurai or two it would have been super.
The thing is, having visited this castle myself, having climbed those impossibly steep and slippery stairs, polished by innumerable stockinged feet, to the very top level (8th, if I remember correctly), this build was visceral for me. I relived my time there, fascinated again by the structure and its history.
Highly recommend.
I felt kinda dumb about it, but I didnt expect two #1 bags. Hope this helps someone else out.
Anyways…. it’s still a great set. 😃
1) É divertido de montar;
2) É uma decoração bonita pra casa depois que está montado;
The build wasn't bad but it was a little intimidating in the fact there are 17 bags of pieces, thankfully they're not huge, and they actually meter out the building stages pretty well.
The hardest part of the build process was the roofing/levels of the castle of course, had to concentrate a little harder and constantly double check the instructions to make sure I was doing it right. It's not too hard, but I did mess up once and have to deconstruct a whole level of the castle to fix a mistake I made using the wrong parts.
Otherwise, I enjoyed it, and my only real criticism is with the "landscaping" at the very end, I think you should get to choose if you want all your trees to be green or pink (to represent the cherry blossoms). Unfortunately it doesn't come with enough pink pieces to do all the large trees.
But that's why there's sites like bricklink I guess.......I'm currently waiting on an order of pink flower pieces and some more brown tree/branch pieces so it looks more how I remember it, from when I actually went there in 2009. And once I get it it's going to look great with the rest of my collection.
1.) build took me 6-7ish hours which is a bit longer than what you would usually take with this piece count but I found the building techniques and design fascinating so I went slow and steady. Plus, I ordered a light kit on the side that I installed with the build.
2.) The build is incredibly sturdy as expected from lego designers. Nothing wobbles or makes you nervous if you were to move the set around.
3.) The completed model is wide and long but not very tall compared to how the images were advertised.
4.) The only issue or recommendation I have is that the front of the castle is really bare with almost zero foliage/trees. I have seen others buy additional pink flowers and add sakura trees to the front which takes the whole display to the next level.
Without a doubt, this was the most awesome and intricate set i've built from Lego and I would recommend 10/10 to anyone.
