This is a great choice for a robo-vac. It cleans well, you can separate the parts of the roller to pull the hair that gets caught in there (with other vacs-roomba and eufy it is hard to clean). It is an animal when cleaning, even when something gets stuck in it, it keeps going for the most part. Don't be a dumb dumb, you should still keep things out of its path...or else it will own them. Also, the parts aren't super expensive but very durable ($45 for a Roomba roller vs $18 for this one) talk about economical. The only gripe here is that the auto-empty function does not work that well. It won't suck out all the dirt if the bin is full. Easy way to fix that, buy the cheaper non- auto empty and empty it yourself you lazy cuck.

    Great product. Great Value.

I ordered two of these, one for upstairs and one for downstairs. Both products function excellently. We have mostly hard floors with some large area rugs downstairs, so the mopping feature gets a much better workout there, but upstairs has a couple bathrooms and bedrooms, so it has a mix, with mostly carpet.

I am pleased with the performance of both of the vacuum/mop units. My only real gripes would be that it could be a little smarter about working its way under furniture it can't get out from (fixed by marking it on the map, but it seems kind of silly to have to go and mark it) and it would be nice if there was a low water or almost full dirty tank warning, instead of the empty/full notification you get. Not the end of the world, but it would make maintenance easier.

The vacuum does a good job picking up the crumbs, dirt, and hair (we have three dogs, a cat, and two sons) and it feels like the mop actually does something. We had a combo unit previously, and it had a pad that sort of vibrated. When you watched it going around, you could see where the floor was wet and where it wasn't. With this unit, the wet trails overlap ever so slightly.

I can't speak to its durability, but these have been the best solution for our house. If you are so inclined, they can do multiple maps for different floors, but I didn't want to have to remember to move them around. The whole idea is to have light cleaning done for you that you don't have to do much with, so getting two units seemed like the best solution.

Better navigation than either Roomba or Shark. Much easier on furniture and thick area rugs than Roomba. Replaceable parts much cheaper than Roomba (even the knock-offs). Better cleaning especially on rugs and carpet than either Roomba or Shark. This model is noticeably louder than either the Roomba or Shark but is a worthwhile trade off since I don’t have to get it unstuck or unlost all the time.
Have been running this vac daily +/- 800sqft for about six months with no issues.
Previously I have owned multiple Roomba models and one Shark robo vac. So far this is my favorite. The cat hates it about the same as my previous robo vacs.

In this instance, I don’t mind that my husband replaced me! This thing works amazing! We did buy this on sale but for how well it works, full price is almost worth it too! We have a German shepherd and you know they like to shed twice a year for 6 months at a time. Plus my hair loves to leave a trail. This picks it up and does a good job of not getting it tangled. My floors feel amazing!! With two kids and a dog, I felt my floors were a losing battle but now I’ve got help and I’m thankful! The mop also works great and it charges itself so it’s very little we have to do.

I have one of the original Deboot vacuums which was basic and worked for years. Very simple, and zero frills. It ate batteries like popcorn. When researching for the "highest rated" vacuum (what a pain) it seemed like most are including the mop feature now, which I do not want. I found the Roborock Q5 Max+ and it had the features that I was interested in. My house is roughly 2990 sq ft. The floors are wood, tile, with area rugs. Everything is on the same level with the exception of the utility room which is one step down. I'm 61 and by no means a computer genius. The app was straight forward. I do believe that the menus could be designed a bit better with regard to finding features without digging deeper. Perhaps more icons on one screen. I would like to understand a bit better how to add a room after the initial mapping. Mapping is simple and fast, but next time I would let it map the entire house and not leave any room out like I did the first time. The mapping system is awesome and the memory is precise. I initially frowned at the auto empty function but love it! It works well and is the only thing that is loud on the system. It sounds like a shop vac when emptying. The vacuum does a great job picking up dirt and animal hair. I have a 70 lb dog and a indoor/outdoor cat. We watch our granddaughter about 30 hours a week and she's at the crawling stage. After running the vacuum there is no hair on her outfits after crawling around all day. As mentioned above our utility room is a step down. I ended up creating a separate map called utility room and I set the vacuum in the utility room and let it map the room. I switch to that map, set it in the room and then start it. When it finishes I pick it up and carry it back to the dock. It takes about 30 seconds to locate itself when I first put it in the utility room. We have an Echo Show 8 2nd addition (Alexa) and I tried out the Roborock widget. It pretty much didn't work for me with the exception of being able to give the vacuum a command to start which would then vacuum the entire house. Instructing it to vacuum a specific room was a crap shoot. sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. Too much frustration for me. The juice wasn't worth the squeeze. We also have the newest version of the Echo show 8 that I may try the widget on. I walked by it the other day and the Roborock app was displayed on the from of it. I set up the app on my Ipad. It works great and I can see the maps really well. It works on my Galaxy phone too, but the screen is small. I highly recommend the Roborock. I believe in quality and I feel like I've gotten what I paid for. It's been recommended to my family and friends, and I would buy another in a minute. This baby gets an old guy rating of 9 out of 10.

If you’re wondering whether to get this vacuum, you should. I’ve had a couple Roomba models and think this one is better. App works seamlessly, the machine doesn’t get stuck on much unless you leave something out on the floor, you can turn it on even if you’re not home, it cleans itself out. I love this thing. I don't think I could love this thing more! It has made a huge improvement in the cleanliness of our home. We have two cats and a dog and there was constantly fur and grit under foot. Now, the house just seems so much cleaner. The robot has gotten stuck a couple of times (once on backpack strap, once on a long drape, once just got confused under a table with a lot of chairs) but really has been very robust in getting around and up and over thresholds, rugs, etc. Easily found the stairs and hasn't fallen down [knocks wood].

I’ve had a robot vacuum in the past. It was a decent introduction to using one, but it wasn’t too great at its job. So I set my expectations of this robot vacuum based on that experience. Well, this one blows it away. While my old vacuum was able to do some intelligent navigation, because it was all gyro based, it was a bit dumb. The lidar based system gives me more control over where to vacuum. It also uses far more intelligent patterns that seem to be more efficient, moves faster, vacuums better, and has far better battery life. My old vacuum couldn’t finish my whole home on a single charge, while this one has more than 70% battery remaining after doing the whole home. And because it vacuums better, I don’t have to follow up behind it with manual cleaning. The dust bin on the robot seems to be better designed as well, making it so emptying reverses the flow through the filter, effectively self-cleaning it. I didn’t expect to be this impressed with a robot vacuum, especially one at this end of the value model (this is a lower end model).

This was an easy install and a quick setup. I loved how it maps out the room and then begins cleaning. I have had two other (different brands) of robot vacuums that have lasted a couple of years and were a pain to clean. This one however automatically cleans itself and that was the big selling point. The noise level is pretty low and it easily switch from carpet to hard floors. I am very pleased with this purchase.

This is my 3rd robot vacuum. We previously owed 2 Roombas and after a month I can tell you this one is by far the best. Our j7+ leave hair clumps on the rugs. The Q5Max has never left any hair behind (we have a Golden Retriever). It's a little quieter and it takes under an hour to do the same job. I had another robo vacuum that made random passes around the floor. I thought that was good until I bought this. This thing does an excellent job cleaning and is very good at flirting your floor plan and avoiding major obstacles. It does not get stuck, reliably does its job, and empties itself regularly. I really don't have to do much to maintain this. I don't know if it would detect dog poop and avoid it on the ground I don't think it would. So be careful if you have pets! If you get this on sale it is definitely worth the money!

This review is based on the $280 typical price, not the $599 "retail price". For $280, it is a 5-Star robot vac. For $599, I would want more. Pluses: easy to use and understand. App does not require intimate knowledge of computers. You don't even need to use the app unless you want to schedule cleanings - just press the button on top. Self emptying charging dock with BAG so you don't have to deal with emptying dust bins and washing filters. Cleaning is much better than expected. We did NOT want one with a mop since I didn't want to deal with a container of dirty water sitting around for a month. Relatively quiet and relatively intelligent - works around obstacles and avoids cliffs - even updates maps when it finds a clif you didn't mark out. Upside: long battery life, good cleaning, self emptying and charging auto-dock. Bagged dirt collection. Lots of after-market consumable supplies available at very reasonable prices. We have had this for a little over 3 months and have just replaced the dust bag. We don't have children or animals so no comment about issues often reported in those environments for most robot vacs, i.e. "smear" incidents.

Down sides: sometimes gets itself trapped in a forest of chair legs like in a dining room, and will snooze until freed. Most of the time it can work itself out, but not always. Doesn't always notice soft obstacles like socks and the like, so you have to tidy up after yourself or else it may vacuum up the sock and stop, complaining of indigestion.

Switched from Roomba and oh my word is this an upgrade for the same price as the roomba equivalent. I had the roomba for 2 years and spent HOURS trying to keep it going, cleaning the charge electrodes, untangling it, finding where it got stuck because it ran out of battery, etc. At least the app was nice, but the robot was terribly unreliable. Now, just 1 month into the roborock switch I am elated. This guy spent literally less than 10 minutes and mapped my whole 1 story house perfectly. Since then he has run every single day and been stuck only once (my husband left a blanket with shag on the floor and the shag got into the rubber rollers, easy to fix). He is SO quiet we run him while we're home (never could do that with the roomba or we would have sound overstimulation). He is so fast, too. Very efficient algorithm, so covers all the ground I want in minimal time. About a minute per square meter is what I'm getting.

Also love that I'm not getting pictures of my home uploaded to some cloud somewhere for anyone to see what's in my house. Lidar is so much better.

Only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is the app is not as user friendly as irobots. Like three different ways to do everything so confusing, but has all the features I want and works well so would be 4.5 if I could do that.

I have used iRobot Roombas for many years. When my Roomba S9 died, I replaced it with a Roomba J9+, three times. They all failed in one way or another. After a few hours of research and reviews, i decided to get a Q5Max+. I had never heard of the company or this unit, so bought it based solely on the reviews.

The setup was straight forward, although the instructions are a bit vague on the details. The initial mapping picked up only four rooms and the laser did a great job. In order to add the additional rooms, I picked it up and started it from another location. This is a mistake, so don't do it. I called the customer support and told them I have a total of 11 rooms on the first floor and it was having trouble finding all of them. He said to run it in the cleaning mode, Clean Full, and don't interrupt it let it start and return to the base, and it will map all of the rooms. It took about three of these runs to add all of the rooms, but the map, once completed, was very accurate, much, much more so than any of the Roombas I have had. After I partitioned and labeled all of the rooms, I used the Merge function to create two large areas, a Living Area and as Master Bedroom Suite, as well as the Full area. Because of the large area of the Full area, it sometimes runs out of battery before finishing. After it recharges, it goes out and finishes.

As far as performance, my wife loves it. It does a much better job of cleaning than any of the previous Roombas. One more thought: it costs half as much as the Roomba J9+'s and is far superior.

Oh, yes, the Customer Support is very good and was very patient helping me get this up and running, even after multiple calls.

This one particular model, the Roborock Q5 Max+, offers only vacuuming function and not wet mopping, and works very well. This maker offers a bewildering assortment of models, with new ones being released frequently. Some customers have reported problems with other much more expensive models, but if your needs are just basic tile and carpeted floor cleaning, this model does the job quickly and reliably. It is frequently available at a discounted price of less than $300.

Works great mapping out the house, avoiding obstacles, and not getting stuck. It handles the thick carpet that my old robovac could not handle. Not having to empty the dust bin every time is great. I have a 2600 Sq ft house and it has to recharge once to do the entire house. Cleaning house is a lot easier now!

After 3 years of dealing with many issues using a Roomba S9+, I gave up and purchased the Roborock Q5 Max+. I couldn't be happier. Living with 2 Labrador Retrievers means that I run the Roborock (aka Rocky) everyday. It cleans my small home in under an hour on one charge, picks up the dog hair, handles going from wood floors to thick rug with ease, is quiet and easy to use.

We have tried three different robot vacuums, and this one seems to be the best. The app is easy to use and practical. They spent some time perfecting the app that the other companies haven’t done. Regarding the performance – we would say that he does a great job. The best part about this vacuum is that it it has a double roller system. The homebase has a A dustbin collector that works great. Everything seems to be programmable which is wonderful. It doesn’t make much noise. It seems to avoid many obstructions.

This is a very sophisticated robovac. I’ve had 2 Eufy’s that were constantly needing re-setting because of getting stuck on things, including iron floor grates in an old house. The AI mapping feature for the Q5 Max automatically set these as no-go zones its first time out (I thought I’d have to do that manually) and has never gotten stuck. It made a perfect map of my entire first floor and now it systematically sweeps back and forth (not randomly). It needs to navigate hardwood, thick area rugs, thin area rugs, drop-offs, dining room chairs, etc. If you look closely at the map I’m posting, the scattered black lines are chair and table legs. In other words it doesn’t keep bumping into them every time and readjusting, it just knows where they are. I love this vacuum! I asked the company product service about the floor grates before I bought it, and they followed up, asked for photos, and gave me great support. Highly recommend!!

I had an I Robot I7. I also ordered a Shark robot and had to send it back because it got stuck on everything, including my oscillating fans on the ground. I was looking for a robot vacuum that would avoid my fans. You still have to move cords out of the way, but that is completely normal with robot vacuums. I am very happy with this robot. It is very quiet, and vacuums my whole house (1600 sq ft ranch), within 1 hour. It avoids my basement stairs. With the app, you can have it clean a specific room too! When it self empties, that's the only noise you will really here. Great vacuum!!

My home has a mix of tile, carpet and wood flooring with many rugs. That vacuum is able to handle all of them easily. Unlike previous robot vacuums, that moved around randomly this one can be set to go in straight lines or even cross hatch pattern. You can set it for different levels of suction in different rooms, but it also has an auto-adjust feature when it transitions from hard floors to carpet. I like that it notifies you if it becomes stuck on a cord or other object.

It is a little noisier than I had hoped but I have scheduled it to run in the main part of the house during the night. It is not noticeable while sleeping. My bedrooms are set to be cleaned during the day when I am working. It definitely works well to keep the dust levels and pet hair at bay. I have long hair that sheds, so I have to clean the rollers once per week but it is very easy to do. Less than 1 minute to clean them. Overall I am very happy with this product.

This is an awesome robot. We have been Roomba fans for almost 20 years and have owned at least six, but they were not reliable. Got lost a lot returning to base. Vacuumed in weird patterns that made no sense. This new robot mapped our 2100 square foot house in 10 minutes. App is great. Vacuuming is efficient. Finds the base every time. Doesn’t run into walls on its way to a room. In other words it works great. Only two complaints: does not indicate when the base bin is full (apparently a patent issue with iRobot) and is not a US company. Great product.

Love this automatic vacuum!!! I have 2 long hair cats who shed like crazy ! I have been using 5 Roomba robots for my 3000 sq feet. My roombas were always getting stuck, they would skip large sections & they wouldn’t dock correctly after cleaning. I researched & ran across this gem. It arrived quickly. Super easy to set up. I’ve been using it daily for a week. I love that it has a method to how it cleans a room. I love the app so you can see exactly where it has cleaned. I love that it consistently correctly docs itself. This one machine is doing the work of my 5 old roombas. ! Highly recommend!

I have owned this guy for about 5 months now. I try to wait a while before reviewing a product. Firstly: Mapping. I found the mapping feature quite good. I had a robot vaccum before that just bumped around and I was not happy. This little guy mapped quickly and did a good job. Secondly: I love that it has a lot of room in the dust-bin. My old one would fill up quickly and then stop working well because there was no way to know it was full. This one will vaccum a whole floor of my house (over 1400 square feet) and be fine. Third: It is self-emptying. This part is great but it's really the only complaint I have about it. Sometimes if doesn't empty the dust-bin if it has picked up something larger (like a kleenex) and it gets clogged. It doesn't always tell you that it has a clog so you have to keep an eye on it. I've gotten better about keeping those things picked up so it hasn't been as much of a problem lately. I have two dogs and three cats so the vaccum is set to go out daily. I really appreciate the programming options that it has. I get a lot of satisfaction following his progress on the map in the app. Overall, I am glad that I bought this dude and he's been doing a good job.

I'm a robot nerd. I have RC airplanes, drones, cards, battlebots... I could never pull the trigger on the Rooma class of robot. This year I leased a small 500ft office for my business and decided it was the perfect time to try one out... It couldn't be better... This vaccuum runs on its schedule 3x a week and the low-pile carpet looks great. It navigates the room, under and through office chairs without any issue. I expected it to be fun but it does the job really really well... Thinking about another one for the basement of the house.. Definitely recommended.

I couldn't go back to not owning a robo vacuum after now having my Q5 Max+ for 3 months. I have it run twice a week on my 1000ft^2 apartment, which is predominantly carpet (-kitchen and bathrooms), and it does a fantastic job. I was worried about how well it would move around and clean on medium pile carpet, but it has no challenges. It picks up a lot of hair and dust every time it runs (I stop it before it empties occasionally just to see what it picked up). It seems to collect almost as much as my regular Bissell vaccum was collecting. I never find anything it missed. It's completely saved me from needing to do weekly apartment vacuumings by hand. Now I only need to do a couple spots every now and then that it just can't reach. It takes about 55 minutes for it to clean my whole apartment. The battery has no issue with that. Even on nearly all carpet (max suction) it only uses about half the batterty. The app is great, easy to get the map configured and schedule vacuumings. It also has no issues returning to the dock even though it's against a wall in a tight little spot between furniture (it has a good 10ft clearance directly in front of it though). I did have to create "no-go" zones to ensure it didn't get stuck anywhere or fo anywhere I didn't want it to go, it took a bit of playing to get those perfect on the map, but they were easy to place and it's done a great job respecting them. I'll update if I run into any issues, but so far so good!

I have had bad luck with robot vacuums and don't know why. Not any more. This was easy to assemble, connect to wifi and the APP is easy to use. Lots of videos on youtube to assist with everything. The vacuum does a good job, though I don't have pets and can't comment on how well it collects pet hair. The only down side is having to purchase bags, but I knew that when I purchased it. I am very happy with this purchase and would get it again.

I was looking for a decent new “Robby” since our last one gave up on us. We have two very shedding dogs, so it needs to be pretty good. And let me tell you! This one is a very good vacuum! The first day it wasn’t able to empty all the amount of dog hair it had picked and needed some help, after the floor not being vacuumed for 5 days. But after that we had no problems at all and we just live it! The noise is very tolerable. On the lowest level it is pretty quiet. We use it in the second level of five and it still is not super loud. I can only say: this is our life saver! Hopefully, the motor on this one will last longer, than toon our old one, which was a different company.

Switched to this Roborock after several years using a $1200 Roomba product. I wish I had switched sooner. The Roborock mapped the entire 2000 sqft apt in 12 minutes (Roomba never got it right after 3 years), does a good job cleaning, and has been more or less hassle free. Often the Roomba couldn’t even make it to the charging dock when placed right in front of it. Anyway, 5/5 stars, would recommend.

UPDATE 02/10/25 - customer service emailed me with a detailed response which solved all problems. The device is running very well and emptying as it shoul. The company even offered to refund part of the purchase price because of any inconvenience. They went above and beyond and it’s appreciated. I will buy again from Roborock.

We have recently been experiencing terrible problems with our Q5 Max+ vacuum.
It will not auto empty the dustbin despite an unobstructed ability to do so. After cleaning, the device tries to auto-empty with what sounds like strong suction for 30 seconds but nothing empties. An error occurs to check an otherwise unobstructed suction path to the dust bag because the unit insists that it is blocked. What’s even worse is that now our vac will not clean at all because it does not detect the vac dustbin and filter. I changed the filter so it is brand new, cleaned it all then clicked back the dustbin in place on the vac but it will not register that there’s a dustbin and filter in the device. I purchased this item from Amazon on June 28, 2024.
We initially LOVED this vacuum because it was so intelligent, adjustable, and user friendly. We thought that we had finally found a winner but it is just a matter of time and use before things went awry. We just didn’t think it would happen so soon after our purchase. We have a three level home and we’re seriously considering buying one or two more of your brand so each level has one. A scintilla of customer service such as replying to my email would go a long way to keep this customer. The auto empty feature worked for about 3 months before it wouldn’t empty and I’ve been doing it myself….what I didn’t want to do and why I purchased this specific model. A new unit should be sent to me and I will return the defective one.

I purchased the roborock Q5 Max+ to replace an aging iRobot Roomba s9+. The Q5 Max+ is far and away a better robot vacuum. It has a much better navigation and mapping feature, always finds its' way home to the dock, never gets confused as to where it is at and has excellent cleaning ability. Where the Roomba s9+ seemed to get lost regularly, had difficulty finding its' home and always vacuumed multiple passes even though it was set to clean 1 time. Cleaning time for approx. 500 sq ft takes less than 45 minutes and does not require returning to the dock to recharge. The Roomba s9+ always took much longer and had to return to recharge every time, even with a new battery.
I also like the way the Q5 Max+ navigates around the perimeter of each room first and then goes back and cleans the center of the rooms. While the vacuum is cleaning it also shows its progress in the app. The Q5 Max+ also handles area rugs very well and navigates over the rug edges without getting caught or trying to lift the rug.
I would highly recommend the purchase of the Q5 Max+.

I previously had the iRobot Roomba 960, and I’m amazed at how much robot vacuums have advanced! The Roborock Q5 Max+ is a game-changer. It picks up an incredible amount of grit, dust, and dog hair in just one pass, leaving my floors noticeably cleaner.

One of my favorite features is the customizable mapping within the app. I can create and name rooms, which makes cleaning specific areas a breeze. Since it's connected to Google Home, I can simply ask Google to clean the kitchen after cooking, and it will clean just that area before heading back to the dock.

The zone cleaning feature is another huge plus. I use it after brushing my two dogs, as it quickly takes care of the hair in that specific area.

After a week of use, I have zero complaints. If you're looking for a powerful, smart, and efficient robot vacuum, the Roborock Q5 Max+ is an excellent choice!

I dont normally write reviews so quickly, but I was going through my list and figured, while I was at it, I would give my initial impressions. We used a Eufy X8 before this. It was great, did everything well...until it broke after about a year. We went through three of them (Customer Service was great, they replaced it 3 times). After the 3rd one breaking in just 6 months, we gave up. I started looking up other Robovacs. Eufy seems to be one of the top rated still (at least for their expensive brands), but I wasn't going to pay that much and I wasn't going with Eufy again. According to several other sites though (RTings is my go to, and they reviews several RoboRock vacuums), Roborock is one of the best, at all price ranges, but including this one. And that was my thing. I didn't want to pay $1000. I also didnt need a mop, and I wanted a dock for it to empty itself (something we didn't have with the Eufy). This covers all that and with great reviews. It's only been a few days, but this has been solid. It's winter here right now, and we get dirt all over the floor. We have hardwood floors with some rugs. We are a 6 person household, with 2 large dogs and 3 cats. There is dirt galore and fur dust bunnies every day. This thing handles it all no problem.

Again, I can't speak to the longevity. That aforementioned Eufy would have had a similar review at first as well, so I'm crossing my fingers this has better quality. Other than that, the only thing I've seen that would be nice, in the app, is the ability to schedule the Auto Empty. You can schedule it to clean, you can set a DND so it WONT auto empty during certain times, but it also won't just auto empty at the end of that DND. If I could set it to quietly clean at night (which I can), but auto empty in the morning, that would be ideal. But again, I haven't had this very long, so maybe some tweaking of the settings could achieve this. I do know there are auto empty sensitivity settings that might achieve that goal.

Ive never left a review in my life. This robot has been a God send. Have a german shepherd that sheds like crazy. Run this unit and the house stays spotless. Only downside ive found is there isnt any notification that the bin is full to go back and dump and it will just keep vacuuming basically doing nothing when that happens, so its good practice to get a feel for how long it takes to get full and pause and check the dustbin and have autodump on also....other than that a must have!!

I can't say enough good about this product. First, it does a great job, both on carpet and hardwood floors. It's very intelligent. It creates a map of each room so it knows what to do each time. You can just start it and ignore it. When it's finished, it goes back to its dock and empties its bag. You can create multiple maps, one per floor, room, etc. The robot figures out where it is and then uses the right map to guide it. My only less than great comment is that the functionality is not very well documented. There is an app you can use on your phone, but I had to go to YouTube to figure it out. Now that I have the hang of it, though, it's easy to use. If this is in your price range, I highly recommend it.

We decided to get this vacuum after I just about lost my sanity. We have a very active black lab and he sheds buckets everyday. I was so tired of seeing huge clumps of hair everywhere and having to lug out my huge vacuum to clean it up. We run the Roborock 2 times a day in our 1300sq ft home and it’s been a life saver. Due to us being out and about a lot and the dog, it certainly hasn’t replaced a thorough vacuuming once a week, it has helped immensely. If somehow buying a more expensive one would suck more hair off the rugs we have, I suppose I would have purchased that one, but this one has been great. The sound of it emptying its bin isn’t too loud and only lasts a few seconds. The amount our dog sheds is unbelievable yet after over a week the bin isn’t full so I’m quite happy. I plan to clean it once a week and keep it in tip top shape!

I got this for 280 and I would never spend 400 on anything else knowing this does it for 120 less lol bigger battery and equal vacuum AND IT SELF EMTPIES LIKE A CHAMP. For 280 I would get this without worry and id say 400+ versions probably aren't doing much more than this, AT ALL. It vacuums so well and the app is EXACTLY what u need in every way. I just wish they let me use the speak on the vacuum as a music speaker or add voices as it cleans like Humming lol

Look and looked... lots of doubts about usefulness. Roborock Q5+ crushed it. Works really well, no issue with app on phone, WIFI connect, this saves you time --- you'll vacuum more often. I have 3 levels and a map for each --- doesn't fall -- at stairs - knows where map boundaries are set --- a tweaking to kick off.
Easy to clean -- bought back up supplies, etc seemed reasonable. I did not want to add unnecessarily to the dump. I take some need nose pliers -- pull out most wadded carpet fiber --- spray bug dust in the bag --- incase of fleas --- no problems --- when it shows wear and tear (so far not at all) I have supplies. Love that bag collector has a face - cover to seal up when it and out. Rollers come out easily and clean up well... After the research this was the ONE to BUY. Happy and I am picky.
Went on vaction 3+ weeks --- WFI connection wasn't working. For me the simple fix was to initiate start up --- used the QR code on Bot and make sure every thing is on same band. Not difficult --- happened only once in months and months. And my WIFI provider goes up and down,,,
This saves me time --- the price is well worth it. Established brand. Highest Recommendation!! Looked for sale price bu no Promo deals.

So far works much better than a Eufy L60SES that I returned. I was worried about the self clean through the bottom working good. I can say it definitely does. On Vacation I remote ran it. I got a message where it was telling me there was a restriction. Upon my return I found that it had ran over a ladies adult low cut sock, sucked it through the double rollers, into the dust bin, then during a self-empty it pulled it all way out of the robot machine dust bin, through the base, and then up into the bag where it finally lodged almost 3/4 into the bag. A very impressive journey from floor to bag !

That's all I have to say.

But actually I like it so much I'm going to say what I like about it. It's smart, won't fall down any stairs, maps your house, powers over all sorts of things, you can set no go zones, it knows when it's on carpet or wood, control it from anywhere, empties itself, has lidar, you can do multiple floor maps, different strength suction selections, The list goes on and on I love it.

I just hope it doesn't die for some reason. If it lasts a while I will have one for life. Saves you so much time and your house is always clean. Should have gotten one years ago. Let alone it goes under the bed that hasn't been vacuumed in years.

Only downside is you have to have a 2.4 GHz wifi signal to connect it to wifi. But it doesn't actually need the internet to work you can just push the start button and it will scan and go

We upgraded to this vacuum after our old Roborock zoncked out and didn’t suction well after 4.5 years of weekly use. This model is much more powerful and quicker to clean our home.

Some things to be aware of:
    - Roborock vacuums only works with 2.4ghz not 5ghz WiFi networks, so if your home WiFi is 5ghz, you won’t be able to use it. Check your WiFi in advance.
    - the instructions need you to screw in 6 screws as part of the assembly, but you’ll notice there’s no bag with screws. That’s because the screws are already halfway screwed in into the back part itself. So half the work is done for you. Just a heads up so you don’t go searching for a bag of screws in your box like I did - you won’t find one!

Very impressed with the performance so far over the last week. We use it daily to vacuum the hardwood kitchen floors after cooking/eating and less frequently for the remainder of the first floor and higher traffic areas. Very easy to setup and control and it does a good job picking up all the daily debris while navigating through some difficult and tight situations. I don't need to think about it too much either, it just seems to do its thing. Although, it is best to not have loose power cords or light spot rugs/blankets in its path, which can hang it up. I will probably consider upgrading to a mopping vacuum in the next year.

Had an older Eufy model that didn't have any mapping and just used the bump technology. This one is lightyears ahead with the lidar and room mapping. Still have to regularly vacuum our shag throw rug as it is too high, but I'll take it. We have one large older dog and two cats, so plenty of pet hair to go around. This makes it way more manageable by running it daily. Has plenty of battery life to do our 2000 Sq ft ranch. The self emptying feature also is great, you can run it and forget it. Super easy to setup, ran the room mapping and threw in my no go zones around pet water dishes and corded areas, and ran it right away. Haven't had any issues yet. It is loud when it self empties, but again it's expected and saving me time. Hopefully it lasts a few years before we have to swap it out, but so far so good!

This is our first robotic vacuum purchase. I was hesitant until I read all the great reviews and decided to take a chance. Set up was super easy, mapping couldn't have been better, and it works phenomenally well. We have carpet and tile. It is a bit louder on the hard tile surface, but SO much quieter than my upright.
I recommend checking the onboard waste bin after it docks and empties it. The unit picked up so much pet hair ours was packed inside. I removed it, and check it routinely, just to ensure it isn't getting clogged up.
The vacuum does a fantastic job maneuvering around furniture, just make sure all electric cords are secured out of the way. We close off areas we don't want the unit to go into (there is probably an easy way to mark those automatically).
We have ours scheduled on certain days at a specific time. It announces that it's starting, when it's emptying the dust bin, and charging.
The remote control app is easily navigable. I like that it is intelligent and changes patterns each run so it isn't wearing a pattern into the carpet. We have had no issues with our vacuum. It is worth the investment.

The Roborock Q5 Max+ has been a total game-changer for home cleaning. Having previously used a Eufy vacuum, I can confidently say the Q5 Max+ is in a league of its own, thanks to its powerful 5500 Pa suction. It handles pet hair effortlessly, a lifesaver in a house with two cats and a dog.

The self-empty dock is incredibly convenient, requiring attention only every few weeks, while the smart navigation ensures it cleans efficiently without getting stuck. The app is easy to use, allowing for customizable schedules, no-go zones, and precise room mapping. Add in the long battery life, and it’s an effortless way to keep your home spotless. I highly recommend it!

I have had a Roomba i3 for a few years now and it was great for what it is. However it did not self empty so I essentially had to babysit it and empty the bin every 20 minutes. It also had rudimentary nudge-based navigation that was not very accurate. This is obviously not the case with the Roborock. I am genuinely astounded at this thing. It is truly a technological marvel.

    Best Features:

LiDAR Navigation : I was shocked as how well this works. You can literally watch a live feed in the app of the mapping process. It maps the rooms faster than you'd imagine. As soon as it enters a room the map expands to cover almost the entire area, intelligently identifying things it can go under versus solid objects. It also does not just map one time during setup. Is constantly updates and augments the map every time it runs. It also does not just rely on the bump detector to find obstacles. The LiDAR sees it first, and the robot slows down to gently nudge it to better define its position. The paths the robot takes are extremely deliberate and precise. It is amazing to watch it drive around corners and obstacles when heading to a known area. I also like how it will vacuum the perimeter of a room first before doing the center. This ensures that any debris flung into the center of the room by the edge brush is cleaned.

Suction: Seems to be very powerful. This cleans a high pile rug we have just as well as our push vacuum. It is also cool that you can set it to automatically adjust suction power based on the surface it detects it is driving on. You can also just set a fixed suction level regardless of surface if you want.

Noise: It is a vacuum, so it is a bit noisy but actually significantly quieter than my Roomba. Since it has an auto empty feature, you can and should just run it when no one is home. That way, it essentially never makes any noise.

Performance: This robot is pretty speedy. My downstairs is about 900sqft and it can do a full clean in around 90 minutes. The floor is spotless when it finishes.

Auto-Emptying: This is really cool. It monitors the dustbin capacity and will determine if it can finish cleaning before emptying or if it needs to make a pit-stop. The vacuum within the dock is very powerful and does a surprisingly good job of completely emptying the dustbin. It is a huge benefit to have it run when no one is home and not worry that it will dock with a full bin waiting to be emptied.

Software: Now THIS is where Roborock shines compared to others. You have the ability to edit rooms, add invisible walls, no go zones, etc. You can tell it to vacuum one room, a single area, really anything you can think of. While not necessary, you can watch the robots path live and see exactly where it has cleaned. Its pretty fun to watch lol. Scheduling is seamless and easy, monitoring the life of things like filters and brushes is simple, and the paths taken by the robot are deliberate and precise. The app is very well designed, which I feel brands like Eufy and Roomba don't do as well.

    Cons:

This is a relatively large vacuum, so it sometimes cannot fit or struggles to fit between smaller chair and/or table legs such as a nightstand.

Since it mainly relies on LiDAR to determine where to clean, it can sometimes get confused. For example, under most couches there is a layer of fabric that covers the bottom. Over time, this fabric can sag. While the vacuum could easily drive under this sagging fabric, the LiDAR sees it as a solid obstacle and avoids it. You can remedy this by adding some staples to the underside of the couch where the fabric sags.

*Hot Take*: This is a Chinese manufactured product headquartered in Beijing, so the data is collects is likely transmitted to China. I honestly don't really care about this, but for people who are concerned with data privacy might want to go with a US based brand like iRobot (Roomba) or Shark.

Overall, I am extremely impressed with this vacuum and feel like it delivers more performance than a vacuum of this price range is expected to.

I was a little skeptical about purchasing, having used several other automated vacuums in the past from another brand, however, they are 5 years old now and it’s obvious there were significant upgrades in the technology since then. I am very pleased with the mapping function, self emptying, the noise level and the lack of fiber brushes on the underside. My old models used the fiber brushes that would constantly overload with dog hair, causing me to have to clean them every day. I was extremely surprised to see that after a week of daily use, the dual fiberless brushes held no dog hair at all and required no cleaning!

This vacuum is being used in a 600 sq ft area with laminate floors and area rugs, this room has never looked better!

I am very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend.

We purchased this Roborock model because we didn’t need one with the mop feature. It works great! I love the corresponding app that controls the vaccum, it’s super easy understand and use. The vaccum does not bump into furniture or vacuum up electrical cords (two concerns that I had). It is highly intelligent, thorough, quiet. It also manages thresholds and moving between hard wood and rugs effortlessly. I especially like that it can clean one or more rooms or the entire house, whichever you choose. My mudroom entrance and my entry hall get vacuumed daily, where other rooms only need it twice a week or so. It’s so easy to send the vacuum out -when and where you need it. The dust bag inside the vacuum charging base is large and won’t need to be changed often, I haven’t changed mine yet. I have looked into the dust tray in the vacuum and I was shocked at how my dirt the vacuum extracted from my floors and throw rugs.

I had a Shark IQ Robot and it works well enough, if you just need a vacuum without any frills. This robot and more specifically the app, blows it out of the water. The LiDAR is way better, which is why I can't fault the Shark too much, since the technologies are so different. My wife put up a reindeer in our home, one of the ones with the worst of thing, glitter. With the roborock app I was able to tell the vacuum specifically on the map the area I wanted vacuumed and I told it I wanted it twice. The vacuum drove straight over and did the job, went back to the dock and emptied. You would never have know the dang glitter was there. Our basement is primarily carpet, so I cannot attest to how well it works on hard flooring. I am still in total awe of how well the app works. The only complaint I have is that where my dark carpet has seams has been detected as a cliff on rare occasion. Not a big deal when I can just tell the vacuum to go to the area it missed and it is done in about 5 minutes, versus older style robot vacuums that had to just vacuum the whole room again.

I don’t usually write reviews but I had to after buying and using this vacuum. I started my robot vacuum journey with a simple Deebot vacuum. It did its job and with three dogs I didn’t realize just how much dog hair I needed cleaned up every day. But after a year of it bumping its way around my house, a random vacuuming pattern, having to move it between rooms and having to clean the bin and filter after every use, I was ready for an upgrade. I thought to get another Deebot but all the self emptying models were too expensive and they all were vacuum and mop combo units. I just wanted a vacuum, no mop needed.
I decided to go with a Shark model I found on a Black Friday deal from the giant blue store with the W. Because of the Shark name I thought I had found my vacuum. I was sorely disappointed. It wouldn’t map my house which is under 500 sq feet. The vacuum would get stuck and randomly return to the charging dock and the app was not user friendly Sigh, time to return it.

So I researched other models and reviews and came across the Roborock Q5+. This is a five star product. From the moment I opened the box to the minor assembly needed the vacuum has been a joy , less one small hiccup. Upon opening the box there is a initial instruction card diagraming what is in the box and how the items are packed, to the simple instructions on how to assemble the base and finally the QR code to install the app. After charging overnight I was ready to start my vacuum journey. So I set it to quick mapping and sat back. Here is where the hiccup occurred. It mapped my living room but would not go into other rooms. Frustrated thinking it would be like the Shark I returned it to the charging dock. So instead of quick mapping I set it to clean instead. This worked. As it cleaned it mapped all the rooms in my house easily. On top of that the map on the app showed the vacuuming pattern the vacuum created as it cleaned. After about 30 minutes it completed cleaning and returned to the docked and emptied itself. I was surprised because I used to let my Deebot clean each room for 30 minutes for each room. Unsure it had cleaned the whole house in just 30 minutes I did a walk thru and my floors were grit and dog hair free.
Plus’s are the vacuum announces it’s self nicely which I like. It lets you know that is starting to clean, charging and returning the dock. The app is easy to install and use with options for custom settings. It integratesd easily with my Alexa system. I haven’t used with Alexa voice options yet but the set up was easy. It was also easy to connect it with my home internet system. It also is not as loud as my old vacuum except for when it self empties but that is less than 30 seconds so I can live with that. What I thought would be a Con for the product was it wasn’t bag less but upon consideration I think I’m going to like the bag because of the amount of dog dander that made the daily cleaning of my old vacuum necessary, with the bag I won’t have that fine dust and dander floating about in the air. I was also able to purchase an accessories kit from Amazon for just 22 dollars which included 4 vacuum bags, 6 edge brush replacements, 4 hepa filters, a two main brush replacements.
So on the whole I would give this product 5 stars on all features and performance. Sorry this is so long but in reading reviews I had to read several myself to get enough information to help me decide on a product so I hope I covered everything.

I have 2 Roborocks now, this being the second one I purchased, after purchasing an iRobot vacuum as well. The Roborock products are superior by a landslide. I love the mapping feature, unlike the iRobot, it actually knows where it’s going, and it does it in a very specific and well planned way, in rows back-and-forth until it covers the area, not just bouncing around until it’s pretty sure it got everything. You can see the path where it’s been and track it on the map. One of the most important things for me is, that I have parrots, which are sometimes very bothered by the robot, so we have areas we don’t want it going. When you set a room for this to clean, it goes straight to the room and cleans it and doesn’t wander around your house getting lost like the iRobot does.

I bought this when my wife was 4-months pregnant... we have dogs. We have a golden retriever and a German Sheppard.

THIS THING IS A GAME CHANGER!

Our house layout doesn't really work for one of these.. so we thought. We have multiple steps going into different rooms, so we thought we would only be able to use it for one or two rooms.. however, all we have to do is pick it up, move it to the area that we want cleaned and click the map and boom! It does a great job!

We have hardwood floors with a few rugs and it tackles this with no issue!

I didn't know how it would do with the dog hair, but sometimes we get busy with life and it's nice to press a button on your phone app and boom! The living/kitchen/dining rooms are cleaned by the time I am pulling in the driveway from work!

It will help out with when we have a new born baby.

My only complaint... that I didn't buy the sweeper/mop version. I think that would be a game changer and would love to see the difference it makes! May eventually have to upgrade!

Having utilized this robot vacuum for several weeks, I am pleased to share my positive experience and provide a comprehensive review. I am thoroughly satisfied with my purchase and encourage others to consider this product.
The vacuum effectively creates precise vacuum lines, which are particularly beneficial for individuals who maintain a meticulous cleaning routine. Although my house is approximately 1550 square feet, it includes stairs, and I did not install any obstacles. The vacuum’s sensors ensure stability, preventing it from falling down the stairs. Additionally, it has a self-emptying feature that operates seamlessly.
The vacuum operates relatively quietly, comparable to other robot vacuums in terms of noise level. It successfully removed dirt from the carpet and fuzzies left by my dog after he ingested his toy. Notably, it encountered a minor incident when it ran over my charger, becoming caught. However, it did not cause any damage to the charger or the vacuum itself. The charger was easily removed without any further issues.
Overall, the robot vacuum has performed exceptionally well. Its quiet operation, effective cleaning capabilities, and user-friendly features make it a valuable addition to any household. I highly recommend this product and am grateful for the positive experience it has provided.

Not my first robot vac but certainly my first smart robot vac. I really liked my old stupid robovac despite it using the bump and find method of defining room perimeters and for a couple years it was great until the battery died. I picked up this Roborock Q5 Max during Black Friday and OH MY! I had no idea what I was missing from a "Smart" robovac. From lidar mapping, to self-emptying, to the twin silicone rollers, to the App. The "Point and Go" feature is particularly nice but it could be better if you could access it through the Favorites menu on the Home screen rather than burying it in the Settings menu. It has been terrific at cleaning dog hair from floors and rugs and so much more thorough than my last robovac.
Very happy with this Roborock Q5 Max Vacuum.

I bought a Roomba back in 2018. It was garbage and I returned it to Costco after a few days. Stayed away from robot vacuums because of that experience. However, I decided to give it another try with a different brand and six years of product innovations. I have been impressed!

    Pros:
    -Sits on home WiFi
-App is easy to use and clear
-Rollers on bottom truly fluff carpet
-Has adjustable suction between hard floors and carpet/rugs
-In visible walls and keep out zones are simple
-Charge lasts a good long time
-Movement pattern is predictable and logical
-Empties automatically and bag in charging station is pretty large
-It has LIDR!!! For mapping your home and it is pretty darn accurate after several runs.

    Cons:
-When it straddles a thick rug and low floor, the gap below prevent some pick-up
-Gets confused under chairs a bit

I would recommend this unit. In fact, if it broke tomorrow, I would buy another.

The Roborock Q5 Max+ Robot Vacuum with Self-Empty Dock has completely transformed how I clean my home. The 5500 Pa suction power is incredible—it effortlessly picks up dust, pet hair, and debris from both carpets and hard floors. It’s a noticeable upgrade from the Q5+, delivering a deeper clean with even better efficiency.

The self-empty dock is a lifesaver. Not having to manually empty the vacuum after every use is a huge time-saver, and it holds enough debris that I only need to deal with it every few weeks. The system works flawlessly, and the dock is sleek and doesn’t take up too much space.

The navigation is smart and precise, with the vacuum easily maneuvering around furniture and avoiding obstacles. The app integration is excellent too—I can customize cleaning schedules, map specific rooms, and even set no-go zones. The battery life is impressive, easily handling multiple rooms in a single charge.

If you’re looking for a powerful, hassle-free cleaning solution, the Roborock Q5 Max+ is worth every penny. Highly recommend it for anyone wanting a cleaner home with minimal effort!

I love the auto empty feature, I am excited that I don’t have to empty out the dustbin every time after use. This thing is strong and picks up dirt in the carpets that my dogs leave with their paws. It is not extremely noisy and I like that you can control the suction strength in the app. I always compare the cost of hiring a housecleaner and I know by using this daily it will be a great value. I have two kids and two dogs so having this will be a game changer for me. I also like that it is has two rollers but not with bristles so things won’t get stuck inside them.

I’ve owned several robot vacuums over the years, and each one has been more disappointing than the last. Honestly, I was about to give up on robot vacuums altogether. The Roborock Q5 Max+ was my final attempt—and I’m thrilled to say it’s been a game-changer!

The standout feature for me is the LiDAR navigation. It’s incredibly precise, effortlessly avoiding objects and never running into anything. My 900 sq. ft. home gets cleaned in just 28 minutes, which is both efficient and impressive.

One downside worth mentioning is that it’s not a bagless disposal system, and replacement bags can get pricey. However, this is a minor inconvenience given its reliability—no errors, no issues, just flawless performance.

I’ve been using it twice a day, and so far, it’s exceeded my expectations. I’ll provide an update as I spend more time with it, but for now, I couldn’t be happier.

Initially, I had an issue of connecting the vacuum to my home network's WIFI. I then called Roborock's customer support. I did not need to wait to connect to a real person! He was very friendly and knowledgeable. It turned out that the Vacuum did not like special characters in my WIFI password. I am sure Roborock will fix this by updating its firmware.

Once connected and fully charged, I tried it and really like it. It was so much better than my old ones from another manufacture. It mapped my entire house and started cleaning. It avoided obstacles like wires, slippers, etc. It cleaned the downstairs of ~2000 ft2, and the battery still has 60% left. It then went to its base, empties the dirt, and started recharging.
The house is very clean and the vacuum left no missed spots/areas.

Highly recommenced for great customer service, smart navigation technology, and effective cleaning results.

The loading dock is under a tray at the very bottom of the box. I almost tossed it out. Don’t make the same mistake. I was having issues getting Max to dock and while searching reviews for help, I saw a photo of the contents of the package. If I hadn’t checked on here for similar issues, I would’ve never realized that there was another level in my box- which in my defense is less than 3/4 of an inch tall.

** to the manufacturer I suggest you place a warning at the very top of the box about the very bottom of the box. lol**

Max mapped my 1000sqft condo then swept it in under an hour, even underneath the bed, over throw rugs, into dark rooms. I was surprised at how smart this vac is. My tile floors are clean. Grout lines too. I’m always tracking in sand, grit and grass.. The noise level is low and doesn’t bother me. Max will be running while I’m at work. I’m very happy with this purchase. He vacuums better than I sweep, picks up hairs, sand, gel caps, dust, grass. Long lasting battery. Only 39% used to map and vac. The app is awesome as well. Money well spent! Merry Christmas To Me!!

This is my first time using a robot vac and I'm thrilled! I have 2 cats and need to vacuum my carpeted rooms a lot. But right now I'm nursing a severe shoulder injury which will require surgery, and my other shoulder will undoubtedly require surgery as soon as I've recovered from the first. I have two Dyson upright vacs for upstairs and down, but they are like pushing a car. I can't use them any longer for risk of further damaging my shoulders, so the Roborock Q5 Max+ has been a Godsend! It's easy to map, to control, to set up, and is relatively quiet. The Roborock app is really easy to navigate and I like that I can set "no go" zones and select specific rooms to clean. My older kitty girls are wary of it but not freaked out. I liked it so much that I ordered a second unit for my finished basement during the Black Friday sale. And cleaning the rollers is a cinch. I bought it because of the increased battery life and suction power. I'm really happy!

I could go on and on about how great this vacuum is! I literally use mine 2 to 3 times a day and I have really no complaints. It’s a little bit louder than my old vacuum, especially when it empties itself but that takes maybe 10 seconds so it’s not really that big of a deal in my opinion. The app works great and it’s me that it shows you what your house looks like, and I love the zone feature, it’s great if you have busy specifically like front doors that you just want that area cleaned multiple times a day. You can choose the level of suction and how many times it cleans one room in a cycle which I really like. Also, it doesn’t just go the same route if you choose to clean the room twice, which is great because it really does pick up everything. We have a high threshold from our kitchen to dining room and it doesn’t even bother this thing. I wouldn’t even bother buying a different type of robot vacuum, this one is the best.

I was expecting a long setup and was very pleasantly surprised. roborock Q5 does self discovery room mapping. It will plan complete routes in all cleanable spaces (underneath beds, tables and other furniture) as long has it can map a clear pathway. Visual cleaning maps are automatically generated and displayed on my iphone App (easily downloaded). They can be easily updated/modified through the iphone visual interface. Hard to reach spaces; no problem. Heavy traffic areas by the couch for quick cleaning; no problem. Rugs and hardwood floors; no problem. Minor change in surface height; no problem. roborock automatically senses and adjusts.

This product literally works out of the box and it operates on its own unless I want to direct it or send it home early to self charge or empty its trash bag into the staging bin; all through my iphone or directly through activation and return buttons displayed on the unit itself.

I am buying at least one more as a family gift for Christmas.

    Well done. Thank You.

I never write reviews, but feel like I need to with this. I see these robot vacuums go on sale on Prime day every year and have always been skeptical. I was worried it would be more of a pain than it's worth. I did a lot of research and ended up buying this roborock Q5 Max+. From what I read, mopping features on these vacuums leave much to be desired and I fiugred I can do a deep clean for our hardwood and tile flooring myself from time to time, so I searched for the best value vacuum.

I can't say enough good things about this vacuum - the Lidar imaging is impressive and the cleaning pattern is smart and efficient. I have used this for a week now and so far have no complaints at all.

    Pros:
easy setup - I clicked start on the app and in about 15min it drove around and mapped my whole main floor with multiple rooms (~1000 ft2). It then returned to the dock and I could review the map on my app. I made a couple no-go zones and then started a clean to test it out. It cleaned the entire floor in about 45 min without any issues. Was able to make it over a 1/2" threshold from tile to wood in the entry way.

Mapping: the lidar vision system and bump sensors work great together to accurately maneuver around every day obstacles like chairs and other items that get left in different places. Once so far we needed to pick it up after it tried to suck up a plant we left on the ground. I placed it in a different location and it took about 3 seconds to reorientate and resume cleaning. On the app I could see it perfectly mapped where it was set down a couple feet away.

This was a no brainer for me as it is nice to wake up to clean floors every morning. We have a dog, so this significantly reduces the need to try and sweep every day!

Yes this replaced an old crappy Deebot that was maybe 6 years old so I thought anything would be an upgrade. However, prior to purchasing this I bought a Roomba i3+ during Big Prime day or whatever that was last month which was pretty much an impulse buy and seemed like a good deal. I hated it. The mapping took over 4 hours and still sucked. It just bumps into stuff until it figures out where its going. It couldn't get over thresholds that were admittedly a little high so I didn't want to fault it for that. But after talking to coworkers and researching a little more I returned it and got the Roborock in it's place and it's amazing. It had some trouble at first with the two highest thresholds but since then has just seemed to have figured out how to adjust itself to navigate them. It cleans great. I got the Q5 Max+ for the higher suction as we have 3 dogs and one of them is a Corgi that sheds like crazy and this handles it like a champ. It was the same price for the one with the mop but it's really just a rag that drags around the floor and the tradeoff was lower suction. Roborock don't play. Mapping was soooo much better than the Roomba and took about 45 minutes. LiDar is the way to go. I really thought Roomba being the OG would have fared better but it's garbage even compared to my old Deebot. The self cleaning thing was nice but that was really the only upgrade. The app works fine and if you are gone you can see where it went which is nice. But one word of warning when setting up is that when you are connecting it and you type in your wifi password if it contains ANY special characters the app wont take it. And it doesn't tell you that it will just keep giving you a PW error. I had to change my super secure wifi PW to something much longer since it would only take letters and numbers. And then go around and reconnect all my other devices which was a pain in the A**. There's your special characters Roborock! But so far that was really my only gripe and it's been fixed.

When my 2 year old Shark self empty robot vac died suddenly, I knew I would have to replace immediately. Fortunately I had purchased a 3 year warranty here for it, which was immediately applied to Amazon account. After 3 solid hours of research for the best vacuum-only (no mopping) replacement model, I bought this. Talk about LIGHT YEARS BETTER than the old model!! I am obsessed! GREAT suction and self emptying, fast and efficient on my wood floors, and wonderful app that I can set up regular cleaning schedules and a spot clean of any room anytime. (If you spot clean a room you can hit the x2 button and it will go in a cross hatch pattern!!) The unit is large, holds a lot and is very powerful. Finally have clean, vacuumed wood floors with 5 dogs and lots of traffic in and out. A Godsend in disguise when my old model died. I bought another 3 yr warranty for this one since it's going to get hard minimum twice daily use. I love turning it on via app at work and watching it clean an extra time on the map. The lidar checks the room before every cleaning, the vacuum does a perimeter cleaning then starts it's pattern. The battery lasts. The two rubber roller bars don't get tangled with fur or hair, the sweeper brush is wide enough to grab fur and dust/debris along baseboards and perimeters. The tidy dust bag means never emptying a cloud of dust and fur into your garbage can. Can't recommend this unit highly enough!!! If you want a vacuum-only unit THIS IS THE ONE.

This is our 2nd robot vacuum and is by far the best. We have a long hair cat that sheds all year. Flooring is all hardwood. The 1st vac was an expensive brand name that wandered around and then would get stuck somewhere. It did have mapping and lidar, but it still had issues. It couldn't even find it's own way back to dock. I had it in for service 2 times and it still had problems. We’ve had the Roborock Q5Max + since April and have had no difficulties with it. . It’s quiet, completes the cleaning in one charge, and the part we love the most is it empties itself. The duel brushes pick up the hair and have not gotten all tangled up. The app is easy to use. We like the customization options for suction power, mapping and automation. We purchased replacement brushes, bags and dustbin filters from the Roborock store without problems. The dustbin filters we ordered did not fit our dustbin. I spoke with customer service and they worked with us to correct the problem. Would definitely recommend purchasing this robot vacuum and will replace with upgrade as needed.

This is first time I own and use a robot Vaccuum. I have used it for a week. I really like it! before I made the purchase, I was hesitating and not sure if it would work. After it arrived, I open the box, it was well packed with a lot of cushion, and 95% pre-assembled, all I need to do was install the base with the tool came with it, only took less than 5 mins from opening the box to finishing the installation, and then I follow the instructions to download the app and pair with the Robo Vaccuum, the App design is clean and easy to navigate and support multiple languages. took about 5 mins to set up the app and pair the Vaccuum and my phone via Wi-Fi connection, and then few mins for it to get firmware update, everything is very straight forward and well instructed. I just moved into my new place, so I have a lot of stuff laying on the floor in different rooms since I do not have time to organize everything yet, but I figure this would be best to test out how intelligent this little thing can be, will it have issues moving itself around and able to cover all the accessible area . So I start the Floor mapping, I follow it while it is mapping as I was very curious since this is first time I am using a Smart Vacuum. Man!! It was impressive!! really! it was able to detect what is in front of it, and calculate the pathway to make sure it can pass through, and able to adjust the directions and circle around the table legs and etc., it map out my floor map very accurately and return itself to base when done! and then I ask it to clean the zone I quickly set up in the app with the first map it drawn, again, very impressive! it really cleans well, cover all the open area on the floor where it was able to access, and at the end of cleaning, it went back to the dock and self-clean by moving the dirt and hair into a bigger dusk bag on top of the home station, which I can empty only once or twice a week. all these gets done with easy press of button in the app! and I also realized it completed more detail on the initial map after the clean, so it has continuous self-learning ability. It can be programed to do routine vacuuming as well. I am confident that it will help to free up my time from sweeping and vacuuming, and more time for other things that I prefer to do. Very great experience I had! I would 100% recommend it.

This is the second vacuum robot I own and I’m very impressed with this! The first one I bought was back in 2019 and it was dead after a year of used. It was not that advanced back in the days so basically I was more like babysitting it when was doing the cleaning, I had to guide it thru the whole process ,clear obstacles, and manually empty the bin, it created more work for me actually. I even felt so relief when it’s dead. Fast forward 6 years later, we moved into a bigger house with 2 boys, vacuuming everyday is now part of the big deal for me. I am so done with this hectic work! So I decided to give the robot another try, I did my research and carefully chose Robotrock Q5Maxplus this time as my vacuum buddy. At the moment I open the box, I can’t believe how easy the setup is! Just need to scan the code that sticks on top of it, download the Robotrock app on your phone, it will start automatically mapping the entire floor for you. Once you setup the no-go zone hit the start bottom then it can begin the vacuum. I don’t have to watch it doing the work anymore! Neither clean out the bin once the vacuum has done! After using it for almost a week, it has delivered nothing but great results. It helps me swap difficult to clean areas such as areas under the TV cabinet, dining table and coffee table. The auto setting to clean the house at desired time also takes away the manual reminder to clean the house at a certain time, especially when I set it at midnight so I don't need to interfere with the robot while it is doing itss "free" labor. I wish I could have bought this one years ago, but it’s never too late to get one now, or even more than one for my second floor as well.
