It’s a game changer!
Arrived 4/20/25. Was eager to use it so set it up right away. Instead of 4D I have 0D $500 paperweight. It turns on the buttons function, the remote works. But not a single motor activates in any of the 3 program modes or any of the manual modes. Don’t trust the calorie counter as while the timer was counting down, the calorie counter increased despite no working motors for vibration, oscillation, or lateral. Went from eagerly looking forward to extremely disappointed. The website has no troubleshooting info and the customer service was already shutdown for the day.
UPDATED 4/24/25
Called customer service early on 4/21/25 and after explaining that none of the motors worked, they sent a replacement unit on the 4/22 and it arrived on the 4/24. Set it up and tested vibration/oscillation/lateral individual on manual individually and all three together as well as P1. The replacement unit functioned perfectly. Raised the rating to 5 stars.
Set up in the corner of my living room, use it for leg swelling relief and osteoporosis.
The unit is solidly built. I appreciate how many settings are available and the ability to easily set the intensity. The 10 min countdown timer is nice. The wrist controller is a must have and makes using the unit easy.
I hope to see some strength and mobility improvements and some weight loss as well. Time will tell.
By the way...it may be covered under your HSA.
Only gripe I have is they should make the LifePro Max where is runs longer than 10 minutes before it shuts down!
The manual instructed me to a website to access the "free library of workout videos." The website is for product registration, but access to the videos was not easy. After speaking with a customer service rep to access members.lifeprofitness.com, I compared the members library with YouTube videos and find them to be identical. Just wished the customer service rep would have mentioned that I didn't need an account to access their "free library" and directed me to youtube.
The marketing of this device seems contradictory. For example, it claims to help relieve joint pain, yet it also advises that people with underlying joint pain shouldn't use it.
After doing some research, I believe the most helpful mode is Pulsation. Oscillation is okay, but I do not recommend the Lateral mode. In my case, Turbo would have been a better option, though marketing seems to think around 30-40 Hz is ideal for your body's health. I believe these hertz only refers to pulsation mode. On the Q&A someone mentioned "I just tested the vibration frequency using the Vibro Checker app on my iPad. I tested Pulsation mode at Level 15, and it measured 30.58 Hertz."
The preset modes gradually increase in intensity to the maximum and cycle through a few modes. It would be nice to have the option to customize the preset modes.
A flaw I noticed is as the device vibrates intensifies, it makes alarming noises. I do not know if it is a balance thing like if you put more weight on one side, the plate vibrates unevenly causing alarming noises. The device still works, there is just abnormal noises and re-balancing the body weight on the plate does not help these noises.
The Bluetooth speaker IMO isn't very good and not very loud. It isn't for me. In fact, I have been trying to find a vibration plate without one hoping it would be cheaper.
I’m still waiting to see the benefits for myself.
I love how sturdy the platform is. After a few uses I have really figured out how to move freely on it and maintain my balance, with following the workouts there is a lot of toe taps while squatting or leg lifts or using sliders 1 leg on and 1 leg off the platform. At first I was wobbly and you could hear the suction cup bottom pop off the wood floors a bit (not tipping the platform, just breaking that suction and then going right back) now I know where to keep my center of gravity for the different movements and I am impressed with how much I can do.
I am able to work out a lot harder than I ever have before without getting as sore. There was 1 day were I had to half the amount of weights I was using because I pushed a little too hard the day before but I recovered so quick! Getting on the platform that next day and going a little lighter allowed me to work that pain out and I felt so much better. I have also noticed that I am able to do more pushups and longer planks on the platform, I feel like it jiggles out the pain so
I can keep going.
My whole family is using it!
My husband is doing daily workouts sometimes his own but also following some of Amber’s harder workouts. My kids are also in love. I have to limit their usage as they would stay on for hours if we let them. My 6yo daughter has started following some 10 minute kids workout videos, it’s impressive how she knows which movements to do on the platform and which she needs to move to the floor. Her balance has improved so much so quickly. She has a long way to learn the correct way to do the movements but she gives it her all and likes to do yoga after. My son is 4, the first week he was mostly standing on it and singing or sitting and playing with his cars. However this week, he has started to follow the workouts with me. He will stand beside or sit under me, he will use a 1.5lbs weight and follow the movements, grab a stretchy band and do the arm movements parallel to me on the other side of the platform. His favorite part is the Pilates squishy ball, so we slightly deflated one of their play balls for him and he will do his best to keep up.
This is a fantastic platform, both the vibration platform and LifePro workouts on YouTube. A beautiful combo!
I have a lot of health issues, and this works for me. I've had it for about 4 months now. First week, I used it only 5 minutes a day on pulse mode with breaks after 60 to 90 seconds. After a week or two I was using this on pulse mode 90 seconds on 30 seconds off, and worked my way up to a full 10 minute cycle 90-30. Then I started adding more sessions or a few bursts 90 or 60 seconds at different times of day. Now I do at least 10 to 30 min per day, and often forget to do the 90 30 cycles. I also really like the side-to-side linear feature and the preset program p3. I am working my way up to the other programs.
When I first bought this, I wished I could make my own program, and wished that it had more programs, but I've done extensive research of the options and am convinced that this is the best and most effective in this price range. I'm willing to accept the minor inconvenience of pressing a button on my remote, because I think this is a great machine at a great price.
Speaking of remote: I like the wristband design of the remote. I usually attach it to something nearby at eye level when I'm using the platform. I can easily move the remote to keep it handy regardless of my position while using the platform. the slap wrist design is easy to use and easy to attach to a nearby shelf, and occasionally to my wrist.
Sometimes I have to press the remote buttons twice to get it to respond. I would like it to be a little more responsive, but it is not a big deal and it only happens occasionally. I like the beep feature, since it tells me that it has received my input. Another thing they could improve: the layout of the remote panel is different from the control panel on the device. I'd like to see them match up better for simplicity. This is not a big deal, just a point to consider for future versions.
I mildly agree with others who said the control panel is a bit sensitive and too easy to step on it and change a setting. on the other hand, I sometimes like that I can press a button with my toe if the remote is not on hand.
A con for me is the auto shutoff after 3 minutes of inactivity. I would like it to hold my settings a little longer. Again, I don't mind it now that it is part of my routine. it is just a few presses on the remote to get my settings back, but it may be a point to consider for future versions.
This company has put a lot of training videos online and provides a lot of support. They provide lengthy you tube videos explaining how people of any fitness level can use it. This is a wonderful way to get the blood flowing. I am happy I purchased this. I use it several times a day, and plan to do so for years to come.
