Why Choose This Intex Pool?
This pool delivers the ideal mix of easy setup, strong materials, and a sleek rectangular footprint. Whether for lounging, swimming, or playtime, it provides a durable and affordable summer solution right in your backyard.
I am newly minted Senior Citizen so I can attest that it's not just a pool for kids. I heartily endorse the product.
Don't be like me and wait, just buy it!
I bought a cheap solar cover and it works fantastic to keep the temperature from dropping in the water at night. It also keeps the stuff from the trees out of the pool when the wind blows. It was a game changer, as the water kept getting too cold.
We have a 1" chlorine floater and I do two chlorine tabs at a time, always making sure when they start to get small that I add another two (a few days apart). I do have liquid chlorine ($5 at a big box store) and have added a couple capfuls after heavy use. But the floater seems to do fine!
I did have to use quite a bit of chlorine stabilizer right at the beginning but it lasts for a long time. It takes forever to dissolve so I put it in a reusable mesh produce bag and tie it to the hose where the water comes back in to the pool from the pump. That way we can swim while it dissolves over a day or two in the moving water.
I have all the other chemicals on hand (Ph up and down, baking soda for alkaline). But I have only had to use baking soda one time. I check the test strip every morning.
A lesson learned - another reviewer said to make sure you have a few inches between the leg and the edge of the patio, which we did. It was fine at first, but a few days in, the leg went off the patio. When the pool fills, the legs spread! We put some wood under them and that works fine for this summer.
I use a pool skimmer (pole with a net) to clean the surface and the bottom, however, I think a pool vacuum would be better for this size. I may do that next summer.
We wish we had bought this years ago! We use it almost every day and our granddaughter enjoys it so much.
really took less than an hour. The hard part was preparing the ground so it's level, since my backyard slopes downward. Seriously, pool setup isn't difficult. Leveling the ground on the other hand was not fun. I bought rubber mats to put underneath, the Intex pool skimmer, chlorine floater and tabs, vacuum, and a waterproof pool light that changes colors. So far it's great!
My husband searched the internet and read review after review to find our family the perfect pool this summer. And this is it!
-For starters, we have a 4 year old, 2 year old, and a 2 month old. This is a great size for our two older kids to swim in. It’s deep enough for them to swim from end to end. Shallow enough where we don’t have to be in the pool with them and can watch them from the side of the pool.
-We also fit all 5 of us in here comfortably and let our littlest one splash around. Great for the whole family!
-Pool is very sturdy and material is nice and thick
-Easy set up! We put a tarp down before setting it up to prevent any holes on the bottom.
-We filled it up Memorial weekend, and we’re almost to the 4th of July. We have not had to empty it out since then! Our kids swim in it every day, sometimes twice a day. Here are some tips to keeping it crystal clear:
-We purchased the INTEX C1000 Krystal Clear cartridge filter Pump and run it every night for 10 hours
-Change filter out every 2 weeks (you can buy a 2 pack at Walmart for $7)
-We purchased the Intex Deluxe Wall Mount Surface Skimmer. This pulls all the bigger debris in like bugs, leaves and sticks from the trees above
-Vacuum every morning with Intex Rechargeable Handheld Vacuum Cleaner before the kids swim
-Shock it every week or two-when it starts to look a little hazy
-Use clarifier every two weeks
-We keep 2 of the 1” chlorine tabs in the turtle chlorine floater
Is it the prettiest? No 😂 would we love the look of a stock tank pool? Yes! But those aren’t practical if your kids actually want to swim. This can also be taken down after summer and (hopefully!) put back up the next year. If it doesn’t last through the summer, it’s cheap enough to replace. Overall, this has been the best pool for our family, and I hope you enjoy it as much as we have!
I had to purchase a pool filter separately and a ladder for the kids to get in and out. Adults can easily get in and out without the ladder. I also purchased a floating chlorine basket thingie that I seem to need to refill about once a week or so. Each night, when I go out to water all my plants and flowers, I also top off the pool, if needed, and use the net I also purchased to pull out any grass or bugs floating around. So far this has kept our pool sparkling clean. Great buy.
This is a great pool for a small yard. I have a very active 14 year old who loves this pool. I'm a very happy Mama.🏖️🏊💦🌞
The structure has held up quite well and the liner is very well made. We, being super careful, purchased an additional tarp for underneath, just in case the concrete cracked or something.
We purchased a good Intex 1000 gal pump to go with it, which has worked perfectly.
My recommendation to other buyers is to stay close as the pool fills and work the wrinkles out of the bottom as it fills. I let the water fill too much before I thought of that, so I couldn’t get all the wrinkles out. But, thankfully, no one has been bothered by the two or three that remained.
I bought a pump and filter to use with the pool. I also use chlorine tablets, and dipsticks to check the chemicals. I highly recommend that. It sounds way more complicated than it is. Run the pump for 8-10 hours a day (more if you have lots of people or kids who get in and out constantly), and use a float for the chlorine tablets. Check with dipstick every few days. If the free chlorine is low, add an extra tablet. If it's high, take a tablet out, then check again in a couple days. This has kept my pool crystal clean for a month.
This is a terrific 'starter pool'. Big enough for at least four grown-ups to lounge in on these hot days. Small enough to fit on a regular sized patio. I think it's going to last for several seasons, so it's well worth the money. I'm very happy with it.
Overall to ensemble the pool it seemed easy yet we had to back track to take out the poles inside part pole A, and B for the middle legs which is a total of 6 legs. Not sure if they specified it in the actual description but the photo didn’t show that part we missed.
So far we can’t wait to use it. It’s 2 feet deep my son will love it.
If you only have a small space the. It’s perfect !
Update- I took it down today,(sept) i had it up for exactly 3 months. I only used the chlorine float and it stayed crystal clear all Summer. As long as you vacumm it weekly, you don't need a filter. One heat wave and you get you money's worth.
It was pretty easy to set up. I found the "no diving" stickers to be over kill.
It's been up for a week, no leaks. I was concerned about the sides bowe (curving inward) when I started to fill the pool up with water. After a bit of research - that is intentional to counteract water psi and movement. One of the pipes at the top has a spot of rust already. When I take it down in sept. I will put a spot of rustoleum. I will write a 4 month review in sept. So far we love this pool - It's only 98 in phoenix at the moment - over 100 degrees on it's was- doesn't seem do daunting . Let's see how long this lasts !
as of 6/29/24 noticed the seem leaking just a little - hopefully it will last the summer. Not sure if I can fix/patch a seem leak. ;-(
A few things
1) The E legs are shipped inside the A, B, C, D legs, along with the other support legs. Make sure you get all of them out before starting to assemble the pool. (I thought I was missing one, but it was just stuck inside.)
2) The photos don’t show it but it comes with 2 installed outlets and 1 installed inlet, plus a drain plug. They fit the smaller 1-1/4 diameter hose connectors. This model didn’t come with a pump but I already had another one from a previous pool, so installation was easy.
3) Use only liquid chlorine, not the tabs.
4) The pool holds around 330 gallons of water so filling it went pretty fast.

For the little ones
I assembled it myself and it took about 30ish minutes, it was super easy

• Takes about an hour to fill or drain. Draining is a little more work.
• Setup is easy once you know how. As with everything there is some confusion initially.
• Make sure the site is level – otherwise the pool starts tilting to one side.
• You need to buy the pump and a chlorinator kit, and a chlorine test kit if you want to use the pool for more than a few days. I used( INTEX C1000 Krystal Clear Cartridge Filter Pump, AquaChek 7-Way Pool and Spa Test Strips, ESSENTIALS Hand Skimmer, HYDROTOOLS BY SWIMLINE 8715 Mini Chemical Dispenser and HTH 42049 Swimming Pool Care 1" Chlorine Tabs
• Used it every day we were home this summer in Texas.
• Put in several aluminum lawn chairs and listened to music for hours each evening.
• The size was perfect. You can get 3 couples in easily. The height is just right.
You can use floats but it gets crowded with more than 3 large floats. Prefer chairs.
Clean
Water was a nice temp the warmer part of the summer without any heating accessories. Got the 1000gph intex filter/pump. Must use chlorine, change filters regularly and get the shock treatment cause after a good rain or visitors the pool was funky. A sprinkle of shock and running the filter for 24 hours cleared it right up.
